Greetings Penn Community for Justice (PCJ) Members!

We have had an incredible summer and fall. Checkout all we have been up to on our new website pennforjustice.com. This winter, PCJ is starting a new chapter and we would love to have you join us as we build our plan for the spring. You are invited to any of our up-coming planning meetings to join our community and participate in the work ahead. Details of what each meeting will cover are below.

  1. Reflection Meeting — Friday, December 11th 4:30PM-5:30PM
  • Learn about what we accomplished at this end of year review. Reflect on what worked and what we could have been done differently.
  • Register for the zoom meeting here. Zoom link will be made available immediately after registering.

2. Planning Meeting for Strategic Planning Retreat — Friday, December 18th 5:00PM-6:00PM

  • Identify the basic framework for the retreat and the core projects for the upcoming semester.
  • Members should bring new ideas forward and introduce questions/concepts that should be tackled during the retreat.
  • Register for the zoom meeting here. Zoom link will be made available immediately after registering.

3. Strategic Planning Retreat — Friday, January 8th 3PM-5PM

  • Solidify campaigns and projects for the spring.
  • Make a clear plan of action to move campaigns/projects forward. Identify roles and responsibilities.
  • Finalize messaging/demands.
  • Explore broader themes like self-care, guiding principles and how we plan to work moving forward (to prevent burnout and empower leadership among all members).
  • Register for the zoom meeting here. Zoom link will be made available immediately after registering.

As you prepare for these meetings please note: This is a grassroots organization running on volunteers. If you want to make a proposal that requires action please be repaired to lead the effort and contribute labor. We love to hear your ideas but due to limited capacity and time can only make space for efforts that have the support from members able to commit time. If you don’t have any original concepts you’d like to lead consider skills you may be able to offer to ongoing projects. Some of those skills include but are not limited to: social media management, speech/op-ed writing, research, public speaking, banner/sign making, digital design, communications, public outreach and others.

We look forward to reconnecting with you all.
